Natural Gas Trading

Natural gas is the main fossil fuel that’s grown in use. It’s discovered near oil reserves and must be processed before it is available for use.

Compared to coal or oil, it is a relatively clean-burning energy source, which is highly versatile, and can be utilized across various sectors, such as for producing chemicals, fertilizers, hydrogen, essential for residential and commercial heating. In addition to lowering hazardous pollutants, compressed natural gas offers up to 40% fuel cost savings over diesel and gasoline.

Natural gas supply chain starts with extraction from reservoirs and certain processing to remove impurities and liquids. The ready processed gas is then transported through pipelines or converted into LNG for transportation to international markets.

Factors affecting the natural gas prices:

  • Increased production levels (thus lower prices);

  • Inventory levels;

  • Consumption patterns;

  • Extraction costs;

  • Geopolitics;

  • Regulatory policies;

  • Trade tariffs and restrictions;

  • Extreme weather conditions;

  • Natural disasters

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)

The main component of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is CH4-methane (accounting for 85%–95%), taken from natural gas field. Compressed natural gas is one of the cleanest fuels available today and is frequently utilized in everyday life. CNG is derived from natural gas sources or related gas in oil fields. To facilitate the process of transferring CNG to its place of consumption, the gas is often compressed under high pressure (between 200 and 250 bar) in specialized tanks.

Natural compressed air CNG is:

  • Colorless

  • Odorless

  • Non-toxic

  • Light

  • Easily soluble in air.

Shipping Process: CNG is delivered to clients' consumption stations after being compressed into specialized tank trucks made of composite materials or steel and having a volume of 20 feet to 40 feet. Special regulations and safety requirements for CNG storage and transportation must be met by tanks and modes of transportation.
